About me
Art has surrounded my life since I was a little girl, from my dad painting murals in homes to my mom painting flowers on nails. They put smiles on people's faces and created a meaningful impact on everyone's lives they touched. Because of this, I have always had an innate fascination with the ability to create.
Coming from an immigrant family, my parents told stories of their experience during the Vietnam War, and it has taught me that tenacity is key. Life will inevitably be hard, but you must have the strength within yourself. My parents' perseverance, willpower, and ability to succeed despite the many challenges they've faced have translated to my own life, shaping my values and the way I approach any task that I'm given.
I am approaching the end of my time at Portland State University. In the last four years, I have studied film theory, analysis, and production. These courses have helped cultivate my work ethic more efficiently while being able to tell meaningful stories. After learning from all departments in film, I have become more knowledgeable in how to organize any production I am a part of, making sure that everything that needs to be done is not only done right, but also done well. I thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, but I always bring a focused and calm mindset that keeps production moving. Above all, Portland State has taught me the importance of connection and respect for the peers around you. This has become the core of my integrity.
